| The
pups spend a few hours a day outside each day now. They are acting like
puppies, wrestling and chasing each other. They have been good pups so
far, easy to have around. They are learning bite inhibitions, how not
to grab to hard with their sharp little teeth. They come when I whistle
and I'm having a lot of fun playing with them now. My house really
smells bad when I first get home from work. Maybe that part is not so
fun. I set them outside while I clean up their puppy whelping box
inside. Cleanup is easy. We lay down a couple long sheets of unused
white paper, then some unused newspaper, to soak up messes. When I get
home from work, we roll up the paper and toss it in the trash. Cleanup
done. Every few days Dianna bleaches the floor of the puppy box. This
coming week they will get to explore the other rooms in the house,
discovering new surfaces and lots of interesting things, with us
following paper towels in hand. Yep, puppies on our white living room
carpet. Mia is looking real thin now, the pups are draining her down to nothing. This will be the last week the pups will nurse with her. They are eating dry puppy food now. |
